We’ve launched a new street interview series called "Why Q? (Why Kyushu?)", where we ask international visitors one simple question:
"Why did you choose Kyushu?"
Japan is home to many world-famous destinations such as Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. Every year, millions of travelers visit these iconic cities.
So what makes people choose Kyushu instead? That simple curiosity inspired us to start this project.
Kyushu is known for its breathtaking nature, relaxing hot springs, delicious local cuisine, historic towns, and unique regional cultures. But as locals, we sometimes take these attractions for granted. We wanted to discover how international visitors see Kyushu through their own eyes.
In "Why Q?", we interview travelers across Kyushu, starting in Fukuoka, and ask them about their reasons for visiting, their impressions of the region, and the places they recommend. Our goal is to share authentic stories and perspectives from people exploring Kyushu from around the world.
What do international travelers love most about Kyushu? What experiences are they looking for? Their answers may help all of us discover a new side of Kyushu that we have never noticed before.
We'll continue interviewing visitors throughout Kyushu, including Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Saga, Oita, Miyazaki, and Kagoshima. We hope you'll join us on this journey and see Kyushu from a new perspective.
