With the desire to convey Fukuoka's food culture, the design is based on the Hakata dialect "bariuma," which means "very delicious," and on tonkotsu ramen. The girl's hair is likened to ramen noodles, expressing the deliciousness that makes you soar when you eat it. The illustration is drawn in a manga style using speech bubbles and toned shadows so that it can be enjoyed by both Japanese and foreigners.
The moment I saw this piece, I couldn't help but exclaim, "So cute!" The overwhelmingly eye-catching design and cuteness, as well as the exquisite coloring that brings out the deliciousness of the ramen, are also exquisite. The tonkotsu ramen and the dialect "BARIUMA!" fully express the charm of Fukuoka. Furthermore, the manga-style illustration, which is also popular overseas, was highly praised! In one frame, not only do you get to see the charm of the city, but you also get elements of manga and pop art, so it's sure to be a hit with foreigners. A unanimous Grand Prix!
