During the balloon festival period, you can see the balloons flying twice a day, around 7:00 and around 15:00.
However, balloons often cannot fly due to weather and wind.
In that respect, it is said that there is less wind at 7:00 in the morning because the temperature difference between the sea and the land is smaller, and the probability of balloons flying is higher.
In addition, since the balloon festival venue is very large including the parking lot, it is safer to aim for about 30 minutes before 7 o'clock just.
By the way, the back roads and loopholes near the balloon venue are full of children walking early in the morning, so it's dangerous to drive through them!
[2] Don't come by car

Ample temporary parking is provided for the Balloon Fiesta, but traffic jams occur every year. Especially if you go without knowing the shortcut, you can already have a traffic jam of 6 km or more at around 5 o'clock in the morning . Even though I got up early, I was able to see the balloon flight from inside the car. Well, that's what makes it beautiful.
The best way to get around is by bicycle or on foot, but for those who are far away, we recommend taking the train or bus.
If you're coming from far away, like Hakata, it's a good idea to book a reserved seat on the limited express as soon as possible!
The ticket office at the Balloon Festa venue will be crowded, so we recommend that you purchase your return ticket in advance.
[3] Weekdays are recommended if possible
Crowds on Saturdays and Sundays are one word of chaos .
On weekdays, you can avoid the crowds and avoid lining up at the popular stalls.
[4] Must-have items
Vinyl seats : There are not enough chairs to sit comfortably in the venue. A must for a short break! is.
Mask : Crowds and sand dust will make your throat dry the next day.
Conversely, for food and drink, the venue for the balloon festival is recommended.
In addition to local food stalls, there are also canned juice vending machines made by manufacturers in Saga Prefecture that you don't see very often.
[5] For souvenirs from the balloon festival, visit the Umakamon Market with white tents on the north side of the station.
A lot of agricultural products, traditional crafts, and specialty products of Saga City.
