The design depicts the silhouette of Tenzan, the mother mountain of the people of Saga Prefecture, as seen from the Saga City side. Hot air balloons floating in the beautiful sunrise are a special sight that can be seen not only at autumn balloon festivals, but also in everyday life.
Tenzan is a mountain with an altitude of 1,046.2 meters that spans Saga City, Karatsu City, Ogi City, and Taku City. Because it is located in the center of Saga Prefecture, it has a special existence as a mountain in Saga.
In the Saga Plain, the seasonal wind that blows down from Tenzan in winter is called ``Tenzan Oroshi.'' In winter, a ski resort (Tenzan Ski Resort) equipped with artificial snow equipment is opened at the northern foot of the mountain, and the snow that accumulates around the summit can be seen from the city.
