NO KATSUO NO LIFE / Kagoshima T-shirt
Makurazaki City, located in the southern part of the Satsuma Peninsula, and neighboring Ibusuki City are dotted with many katsuobushi factories. These two districts alone account for about 70% of Japan's katsuobushi production, with an annual production of about 23,000 tons. In recent years, due to the global boom in Japanese cuisine, many foreign inspection groups, mainly from Europe, have been visiting Kagoshima.
